Paris, Tenn.–Now we’re getting into the serious money. Since its first day Monday, the Henry County Helping Hand Radio Auction has now raised a grand total of $19,117.
A total of $6,319 was raised today with items donated by Paris Rotary, Osage/Airport community, Paris PI, and Party Bounce & Jump.
The annual auction started on Monday and will continue through March 2, raising funds for over 80 local non-profit and service organizations.
Saturday is expected to be another big day, with the Pleasant Hill community donating their items. The Saturday auction starts at noon.
Photos of items that are donated each day are posted on the “Henry County Helping Hand” Facebook page. Anyone who wants to bid on any item can describe the item or give the number of the item as posted on the Facebook page.
The auction is broadcast daily over WTPR 101.7 FM and 710 AM at 12:30 p.m. You can also listen on our website at www.radionwtn.com, where it is live streamed.
