Fulton, Ky.—The Prairie Farms milk processing plant in Fulton, Kentucky, is set to close by June 30.
The Kentucky Division of Workforce and Employment Services was informed Tuesday by Prairie Farms General Manager David Atchley that the plant closure will result in 52 jobs being eliminated.
Kentucky Career Center Business Services will dispatch a rapid response service to the Fulton region to inform employees of what services are available to them. Prairie Farms said the employees whose jobs are eliminated will be provided severance pay and benefits.
Prairie Farms will continue to operate a distribution operation in Fulton that will employ 12.
