New Basketball Courts Being Installed At Ogburn Park

Paris, Tenn.–Paris Parks and Recreation Director Tony Lawrence, along with Employees Gary “Peanut” Paschall and Melvin Rack, work on measurements for the new basketball courts at Ogburn Park. Lawrence said, “We’ve been waiting for a good spell of weather so we can get the project done and it looks like this week will be good.” Concrete will be poured tomorrow and the new basketball courts should be installed by the end of this week, he said. City Manager Kim Foster said the basketball courts at the park had to be replaced because they posed a danger to people using them. “It’s something that needed to be done,” she said.
