Paris, Tenn.–All students in the Henry County School system will return to in-person instruction beginning Monday, March 15.
Director of Schools Dr. Leah Watkins said, “This includes Harrelson, Henry, and Lakewood Schools as well as Grove and Henry County High School (unless other arrangements have been made with the school administration.)”
The decision was made “due to a significant reduction in community spread of the COVID-19 virus,” according to Dr. Watkins.
In other words, Henry County Schools are now moving into the ‘yellow phase’.
All on-campus activities, including extracurricular, will still require masks and social distancing.
According to the release from the school system, “As we monitor the cases in the county and our district, we will have to move in and out of phases throughout the year. Thank you for your patience as we all navigate these concerning trends in COVID-19 cases.”
