Mr. Charles Ray Wilkes, Sr., 79, died at his residence Sunday, May 6, 2024.
He was born Thursday, July 20, 1944, in Huntingdon, to L.Y. and Jessie Gaskins Wilkes. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He was a retired shoemaker and avid fisherman.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years: Sandra Napier Wilkes; two sons: Charlie R. (Jennifer) Wilkes and Justin (Courtney) Wilkes; a sister: Barbara Allen; a brother: Billy (Deborah) Wilkes; and three grandchildren: Madison (Brandon) Ezell, Hunter Wilkes, and Waylon Wilkes, all of McKenzie.
Graveside services for Mr. Wilkes, Sr. is Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at 11:00a.m. at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 7, 2024, 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Interment is at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
