Paris, Tenn.–The 35th Annual Elegant Dinner was held at Rhea Elementary School Thursday and everything was, well, elegant. Students and staff wore their Sunday best, the cafeteria was decorated, background piano music was played by Murray State music major Grayson Pate, glittered star centerpieces were cut out of cardboard with the STEAM lab’s new laser cutter. Sierra Webb and Aiden Phelps were the escorts for specially-invited guests. And there was a spot especially made for photo opportunties with fancy decorations.
Parents and teachers serve the students, who are treated like royalty at the events. Rhea PTO President Mandy Davidson said, “It was amazing. The cafeteria staff had a menu that was well-loved. Chicken strips, mashed potatoes, green beans, cinnamon apples, a roll, and cake for dessert.”
