Services Set For Kentucky Lake Ambassador David Seaton

Springville, Tenn.–David Lynn Seaton–a long-time ambassador for the Kentucky Lake area–passed away the day after Christmas at Henry County Medical Center.

Seaton, of  Springville, was age 75. He and his wife, Sharon, owned Fishtale Lodge for 20 years and was active with the Paris Landing Tourism League.

He worked in construction for Seaton & Son Construction Company and was a professional fisherman. David was a 1966 graduate of Dyersburg High School and a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He was a member of the Dyersburg Bass Club and the Dyer County Fair Board. He loved his two dogs, Max and Mattie and was a member of the Baptist Church. David proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps.

David was born on March 15, 1948, in Dyersburg, TN, to the late Vernon Leon Seaton and Alma Christine Wheeler Seaton.

A celebration of David’s life will be announced later, to be held in Paris, TN.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Sharon Seaton of Paris; a son, Cale Seaton (Tracy) of Paris, TN; two daughters, Shannon Seaton Essary (Monty) and Kelley Seaton, all of Dyersburg, TN; three grandchildren, Ella Seaton, Easton Essary and Todd Essary; two great-grandchildren, Lucas and Laken; his aunt, Doris Simmons of Finley, TN; and numerous cousins.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, A.C. and Elise Bridgewater.
