Mr. Miles Keith Burton, 75, of Clarksville, Tennessee, passed away Monday, May 22, 2023, at his residence with his loving family by his side.
He was born in St. Louis, Missouri, Saturday, February 21, 1948, the beloved son of the late Miles O’Connor and Evelyn Russell Burton. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 49 years: Beverly Sue Farmer Burton; and sisters: Evelyn Grubbs and Rosemary Brooks.
Miles was a hard worker and provider for his family. He worked in construction in St. Louis until retirement.
He loved fishing and enjoyed spending time with his family. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force.
He is survived by his daughters: Michelle Burtonm of Clarksville, TN, and Heather Hinds (Scott)m of St. Louis, MO; son: Christopher Burton (Melanie), of Clarksville, TN; sisters: Carol Woolsey, Mary Hamilton, and Betty Pulley, all of St. Louis, MO; brother: Richard Burton, of TX; grandchildren: Hallee Remick, Keith Richardson, Layne Hinds, Miranda Lantz, Liam Burton, and Makaila Hegwood; and one great-grandchild expected soon.
A funeral service will be held Sunday, May 28, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Anglin Funeral Home with Bro. Richard Tyson officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. and continue until the hour of the funeral service. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Indian Mound, TN. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
