Meth Found After Deputies Help Unlock Car Door

Dover, Tenn.–A Huntingdon woman was arrested for possession of meth by Stewart County deputies after deputies helped her unlock her car.

On Monday May 15th, deputies were called to an address on Highway 79 to unlock a vehicle.

Deputies Josh Miller and Grayden Grise managed to open the vehicle. Once Deputy Miller opened the vehicle to retrieve the wedge he was using to unlock the door he observed a clear capsule with white crystal substance inside of the tray next to the door handle by the unlock button.

The owner of the vehicle admitted that it was methamphetamine. When questioned further the owner admitted that there was more meth in the vehicle. Deputies found 22 grams of meth as well as 3 more capsules and marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Arrested was Crystal Champeau, age 41.  She was charged with possession of meth, possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia and manufacture of meth.
