Carolyn Faith Merrell Roberts

Carolyn Faith Merrell Roberts, 55, of Puryear, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Henry County Medical Center.

Her funeral service will be 12:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at McEvoy Funeral Home in Paris with Bro. Billy Ross of Thompson Creek Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow the service in Puryear City Cemetery. Named as pallbearers are Marc Moore, Mason Sykes, Brad Broadway, Chris Inman, Jason Walker, and Dale “Red” Paschall. Visitation is scheduled at McEvoy on Monday from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. and again on Tuesday after 10:00 A.M. until service.

Carolyn Merrell Roberts was born in Chicago, Il on June 30, 1967 to the late William C. Merrell, Sr. and the late Martha Merrell Laffoon. She married Thomas “Tommy” Roberts in May of 1999 and he survives in Puryear. Carolyn is also survived by her sons, Blake (Breanna Olson) Roberts of McKenzie and Austin (Stacy) Roberts of Puryear; sisters, Mary Wilson and Rebecca (Eddie) Haynes all of Puryear; brothers, William (Tabitha) Merrell of Puryear and James (Ashley) Merrell of Union City; special nieces, Alisha Haynes and Amanda (Erik) Dunn all of Puryear; numerous other nieces, nephews, family members, friends and her “grand dogs” Kindle and Kallie Roberts. Besides her parents, Carolyn is also preceded in death by her brother in law, Darrell Wilson.

Carolyn was a longtime employee of Henry County Medical Center, a member of Puryear Volunteer Fire Department and former member of the Paris Landing Volunteer Fire Dept. She was an avid gardener who was all about taking care of her family and her pets. Carolyn’s biggest love was taking care of people in need and what she hated most was shoes. The family requests that memorials be made to Puryear Volunteer Fire Department.
