Union City, Tenn.–Funeral arrangements for Julianne Becton, the Union City High School senior who passed away Sunday from injuries suffered in a car accident, have been announced.
Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Union City.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral at FBC.
Members of the Class of 2022 – this year’s seniors – will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Classes will be dismissed for the entire day for all Union City Schools students Thursday to accommodate the many teachers system-wide who’ve expressed desires to pay their respects to the Becton family.
Julianne’s mother, Elizabeth, and grandmother, Joan Slusser, are both educational assistants at Union City Elementary School.
On a related note, parent-teacher conferences at Union City Middle School scheduled for Thursday have been postponed until a later date.
