Springville, Tenn.–The laundromat at Sunset Bay Resort was destroyed in an early morning fire.

At 3:30 am, the Paris Landing Fire Department and Henry County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to 60 Mansard Island Drive in Springville for a report of a structure fire.

Paris Landing Fire Chief Reggie Coles said, “Arriving units found the laundromat at Sunset Bay Resort fully engulfed in flames.  The structure was a total loss.”

A neighbor told firefighters he woke up to see a glow outside his window and then saw the structure already engulfed in flames.

Owner James Bush said he did not think anyone had used the laundromat the previous day, according to Coles.

Exact cause of the fire is undetermined at this time but appears to be accidental. Damage is estimated at $125,000.00.

Paris Landing Fire Dept. had four trucks and 10 personnel on the scene for three hours.  Automatic mutual aid was received from Paris Fire Dept who sent one truck and 2 personnel.    Two Henry County Sheriff’s officers were also on the scene.
