Free “History On The Move” Summer Camp

Paris, Tenn.–A free one-day “History on the Move” Summer Camp–Bicentennial Edition will be held July 23 and organizers are accepting registrations now.

The camp is open to 6-9th graders and will be a one-day immersion in local history. Last year’s camp was not held last year due to the COVID pandemic.

This summer’s camp will be oriented to the Bicentennial celebrations for Henry County and Paris that begin this year.

From noon to 1:30 p.m., tours will be taken downtown, including the North Poplar St. historic homes, the courthouse, downtown murals and city cemetery. From 1:30-2 p.m., the group will return to the Heritage Center for ice cream-making and cooling off.

To register your child, call the Heritage Center at 642 1030 or email director@phchc.com.
