Vanessa was raised in the small town of Kenton, Tennessee. She grew up in the country surrounded by trees and farmland which helped cultivate her creativity. After receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Middle Tennessee State University, she spent many years working in advertising as a graphic designer. A few years ago she found her way back to her passion of creating fine art through painting, and she hasn’t stopped since. In her own words, “I always find inspiration in nature, and I especially find my home state of Tennessee captivating. My abstract landscapes and boat paintings are meant to transport viewers to a calm and peaceful place. I strive to leave people with a sense of hope and joy.”
