Huntingdon, Tenn.—A Carroll County man was indicted this week by the Carroll County Grand Jury for second degree murder in the shooting death of his neighbor.
Indicted was David H. Anderson of Yuma, who is charged with the shooting death of his neighbor, Ben Cole Birdwell, age 64. Birdwell’s body was found on a railroad bed near their properties. Birdwell was a retired DEA agent.
According to the police report released at the time, the two had a history of property disputes.
Anderson’s charges include felony stalking, felony possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of a weapon, criminal trespass and tampering with evidence.
