Nashville, Tenn.–Henry County Trustee Randi French was unanimously voted in as President of the Tennessee County Trustees Association and will lead the upcoming 2025 annual meeting of the oganization when it convenes in Paris.
French said the annual session will bring the 95 trustees in the state as well as their families to the local area. The meeting will be held at The Lodge at Paris Landing from May 5-9 and will include speakers, plus some 45-50 vendors. The Nashville Songwriters that are set to attend this summer’s Tennessee River Jam are also coming to the event, which will include evening outings in Paris and the lake area.
She has dutifully served her community as County Trustee for 10 years, elected in 2014. Trustee Association Past President Gina Burchfiel said, “She is well-known for her accessibility, ensuring all community members can reach her, no matter what time of day or day of the week. She goes the extra mile to ensure citizens are treated in a courteous and professional manner with great respect.”
French is a graduate of both Leadership Henry County and the Local Government Leadership Program. She is a Certified Public Administrator and has served as Vice President and President of West Tennessee Trustee Association. She graduated from the WestStar Leadership Program and served as the Alumni Council Class Representative. In 2018, she was chosen by her association as West Tennessee Trustee of the year. She recently earned recognition for completing her Certified Public Manager’s certificate through UT Knoxville.
French currently serves on the Board of Directors for Northwest Tennessee Economic Development as Finance Chair and the County Officials Association of Tennessee Executive Board of Directors.
French and her husband Jimmy “Jimbo” French have been married for 30 years and have two children Jordan (Cory) Sawyers and Bryant French. They have two grandchildren Parker Sawyers and Emery Jo Sawyers. They are members of Tennessee Valley Community Church.
