This week, Agents from the 28th Judicial District out of Brownsville were conducting an investigation on Hawkins Lane in Haywood County which resulted in the seizure of six ounces of Psilocybin mushrooms, approximately 1/2 ounce of methamphetamine and a small amount of a new drug that recently began to show up in West Tennesse, known as “Barney”. Barney is a mixture of fentanyl, Xylazine and methamphetamine and is known as Barney due to its purple color. Two males and one female were arrested on numerous drug charges. The Office of the District Attorney General, 28th Judicial District Frederick Agee is prosecuting this case.
