Going To The Dogs–In A Good Way

Paris, Tenn.–Heath Heston’s K9 alerted to the presence of narcotics in luggage during an exercise at the Henry County Fairgrounds Friday afternoon. Heston traveled all the way from Kansas with his K9 to participate in the National Narcotics Dog Detection Association Tennessee workshop. The workshop was held at the fairgrounds this week and the week was concluded with public demonstrations. Henry County Sheriff’s Deputy Sgt. Ricky Wade is in charge each year. This year, there were 50 teams from all over the country, including Florida, Texas, Connecticutt, Ohio, Kentucky, Kansas, Illinois, and other states. Numerous teams from Tennessee also were on hand.
