Union City, Tenn.—A Union City man who was passed out at the wheel of truck parked in a local business’ parking lot was arrested on drug and weapons charges early Sunday morning.

Arrested was Ryan Neal Decker, age 35, of 4921 Arch Thompson Rd. He was charged with possession of marijuana and meth with intent, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of firearms during the commission of a dangerous felony. His truck also was seized.

Officers saw him parked at 1 a.m. in the Family Video parking lot on S. First St., with the lights on his truck and sitting with his head laying on the front glass of the truck. When officers approached, they saw a small black pistol on the console in plain view and opened the truck door and removed the gun for officers’ safety.

According to the report, at that point, Decker woke up and was placed in restraints. During a search, officers found several items on his person and in the truck, including a small bag of marijuana, small bag of meth, several pills, bag of a clear crystal substance, three glass pipes, a measuring spoon, 100 gram scale, digital scales, and joints. Officers also found another weapon, a 9 mm fully-loaded pistol, under the steering wheel.
