Murray Man Charged With Attempted Murder

At 3:49 AM Saturday, May 23, the Murray Police Department responded to a residence on the south side of Murray in reference to a report of a shooting. Officers responded and determined that no one had been injured.
Through investigation, officers learned that Vi Jay Hill, age 25, of Murray, was at the residence and had started shooting a firearm at an individual in the residence and fled the area. Additionally, there were three other individuals inside the residence nearby when the shooting occurred.
Hill was located by deputies of the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office. As a result of the investigation, the Murray Police Department arrested and charged Hill with Attempted Murder and three counts of Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree.
The Murray Police Department would like to remind everyone that any person charged with a criminal offense is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
