Paris, Tenn.–Goat Yoga comes to Henry County this Friday, July 12, as the Henry County Prevention Coalition hosts its first event from 5-8 p.m.
Prevention Coalition Executive Director Darrah Crawford said the goat yoga and mental health awareness event has drawn almost 150 participants. “We had 150 slots open and at this time, we only have six openings left.” The idea behind goat yoga is to make a regular yoga into a therapeutic animal mental health session.
The event will be held at the Prevention Coalition offices at 575 Cedar St. (located alongside the county highway department).
“Along with the yoga, we will have yard games, a ‘Zen Zone’, ice bath therapy, a ‘Mood Food’ booth and many, many organizations that offer resources to individuals in the community. There will be giveaways also. This event is open to the public. You do have to be pre-registered to do the goat yoga.
