Judy Carol Wade

Judy Carol Wade, 68, of McKenzie, Tennessee, formerly of Henry County, Tennessee, died Sunday, May 12, 2024, at her residence.

Born March 31, 1956, in Paris, she was the daughter of the late Henry Delmar Johnson, Sr, and the late Alene Ball Johnson.

Judy enjoyed cooking, gardening, and listening to country music. She also enjoyed dancing, of which, the Waltz was her favorite, but her passion in life was spending time with her grandchildren. Judy was Baptist in faith.

Along with her parents, Judy was also preceded in death by two sisters: Norma Toombs, and Elizabeth Wofford; a brother: H.D. Johnson; a granddaughter: Ariana Scott; and her former husband and the father of her children: James “J.C.” Wade.

Survivors include her three children: Tracy (Michael) Scott, of Paris, Tennessee, Jeanne (Josh) Scott, of Maryville, Tennessee, and Jason (Michelle) Wade, of Paris; three sisters: Linda Willis, of Gray, Tennessee, Dianne Seay, of Newport, Tennessee, and Virginia (Elvis Jr.) Kennon, who was also her best friend; nine grandchildren: Jordan Berry, Wesley Papaleo, Jaytland Papaleo, Emilee (Dylan) Roberts, Dylan Scott, Devin Scott, Kadin Scott, Kaelin Wade, and Paul Wade; five step-grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren: Jace Roberts, Miles Roberts, Benson Berry, Everleigh Papaleo, and Jace Ferrill; and her special friend: Dallas Reynolds, of McKenzie, Tennessee.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, Tennessee, 38242.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at Ridgeway Funeral Home from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and continue Wednesday, May 15, 2024, after 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Kevin Gallimore officiating.

Judy’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Named as honorary pallbearers are Jaytland Papaleo and Jordan Berry.

Burial will follow the service in Bevil Cemetery.
