Gary Samuel Kenney, Sr., 76, of Paris, left this walk of life to be with his Lord and Savior Monday, May 6, 2024, at the TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Gary was born Thursday, March 11, 1948, in Geneva, New York, to the late John Kenney, Sr., and the late Peggy Jones Kenney. Along with his parents, Gary was also preceded in death by a bonus son: Danny Louden.

Gary loved his Lord and Savior, which was evident in his daily life and Bible Study. His Small Group families will miss his attentiveness to not moving forward in our studies, until everyone understood the message we were to hear from God’s Word.

He was a retired Human Resources Manager from the Valeo Automotive Company and was a member of TVCC and the Paris Rotary Club.

Gary was a devoted husband, father, brother, and grandfather.

He married Elizabeth Jane “Liz” Garland Kenney, of Paris, Saturday, August 21, 2004, who survives.

In addition to his loving wife, Gary is also survived by his children: Gary Kenney Jr., of Manhattan, New York, Chris (Mandi) Kenney, of Buffalo, New York, and Jennifer Kenney, of Brockport, New York; bonus children: Chris (Cori) Louden, of Massena, New York, Erin (Alex) Musick, of Cleveland, Tennessee, and Jennifer (Michael) Greenhaw, of Williamston, North Carolina; two brothers: Bill (Wendy) Kenney, of Holley, New York, and Greg Kenney, of Brockport, New York; a sister: Elizabeth Kenney Henderson, of Geneva, New York; his former spouse: Carolyn Kenney, of Rochester, New York; nine grandchildren: Mikayla, Draven, Parker, Jaysen, Logan, Paisley, Mia, Everett, and Deaglan; his mother-in-law: Winifred Garland, of Dexter, Missouri; and special friends: Bill and Dawn Hurney, of Paris.

Additional survivors include many nieces, nephews, and cousins, his Men’s Thursday morning Bible Study Brothers in Christ, and many friends… too numerous to name.

Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St., Paris, Tennessee, 38242, is handling the arrangements.

Memorial visitation will be held, Sunday, May 19, 2024, at TVCC, located at 2500 E Wood Street, from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m., with a memorial service to follow at 3 p.m.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be members of the Paris Rotary Club and the members of Men’s Thursday Morning Bible Study group.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Men’s Hope Center 326 Lazy Day Lane, Paris, TN 38242.

“Gary, this is only so long, until we meet again” -Liz.
