Healthcare Foundation Launches Diabetes Control Workshop

The Paris and Henry County Healthcare Foundation, in collaboration  with GrowWell and Henry County Medical Center, is proud to announce the launch of the new workshop aimed at assist individuals and their support networks to take control of their  diabetes. 

The “Take Charge of Your Diabetes Program” workshop series is a six-week journey designed to  equip participants with essential skills for managing their diabetes effectively. Led by educators  certified by Stanford University’s Diabetes Self-Management Program Master Trainers, these  sessions will provide practical knowledge and tools for navigating the complexities of diabetes  care. 

When: Starting June 4th, and continuing every Tuesday for six weeks, from 9:00 am to 11:00  am. 

Where: Henry County Office on Aging/Central School Building 

This local resource is not only free of charge but also extends a warm invitation to spouses,  family members, and caregivers. Additionally, each session will include a complimentary lunch,  encouraging a supportive and inclusive environment for all participants. 

Space is limited for this two-hour workshop, facilitated by Tina Umstead, LPN of the Paris and  Henry County Healthcare Foundation Delta Rural Health Initiative.
