Land Between The Lakes–These are the first steps to bringing an American icon back to the Land Between the Lakes. Over the weekend, Forest Service employees and volunteers planted more than 60 American Chestnut seedlings in hopes of restoring the nearly extinct species. Seedlings were also planted at Woodlands Nature Station and the Homeplace 1850s Working Farm for the public to view and track their progress. (LBL photo).
