David L. Richardson, 70, of Paris, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2024, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

David Leonard Richardson was born Wednesday, August 19, 1953, in Paris, Tennessee, to the late Basil Richardson and Fern Ripplinger Richardson, who survives in Chicago, Illinois. Besides his father, David is also preceded in death by his brother: Gary Richardson.

As a jack of all trades who loved to share his expertise with others, David Leonard Richardson was the resident expert for all things carpentry and handiwork, botany and gardening, cooking and grilling, mechanics and body work, and so much more.

David’s lifelong love for books and movies and his keen skill for music, art, and sculpture live on through the passion he inspired in all of his children and grandchildren.

David’s quick wit and generous sense of humor was enjoyed by all, but nothing pleased him more than bringing joy to his wife Sara and knowing he put a smile on her face.

He married Sara Moon Richardson Thursday, November 14, 1974, and she survives in Paris.

David is also survived by his daughters: Sarina Richardson (Daniel Black) and Misty Kall, all of Paris, and Stacie Richardson, of Richmond, Virginia; by his son: Grant Richardson, of Crofton, Kentucky; and by his grandchildren: Gethan Richardson, Alex Clemis, and John Clemis.

His body is to be cremated.
