Mr. Arthur Douglas Porter, 64, of Dover, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2024, at Dover Care Nursing Home.
He was born Friday, May 22, 1959, the beloved son of the late Frances Winters.
Arthur was a hard worker and retired from the Carpenters Union at TVA.
He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was a was a large fan of the Green Bay Packers football team.
He was a loving father, son, grandfather and brother.
Arthur attended Hopewell Community Church, Indian Mound, Tennessee.
He will be sadly missed by his family and many dear friends.
In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by a brother: William Porter.
He is survived by his loving daughter: Kristeen Jobe, of Dover, Tennessee; granddaughters: Katie Clark, Karee Jobe, and Kayla Jobe; sisters: Valada Barber and Royce Neel, both of Kentucky; nieces: Nicole, Angela, Jessica, and Amy; nephews: Will, Jeff, and Rick; and many great nieces and great nephews.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, May 8, 2024, beginning at 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Anglin Funeral Home Chapel.
A private burial will be held at Stewart County Memorial Gardens.
