Building on the success of the inaugural tournament, which attracted 114 players from seven states, organizers aim to surpass last year’s numbers. “Last year we donated $3,500 of our proceeds to the city of Paris for new lighting on the courts. We try to make sure that the city benefits from our efforts,” said Marsha Banasiewicz, Paris Pickleball Club spokesperson.

The 65 members of Paris Pickleball Club vary in skill, but all share a love for the game. “We have players representing all age groups, but our oldest player is in their 80s. We enjoy promoting pickleball in Paris and Henry County,” Banasiewicz said.

Opening night, attendees can take pictures with team mascot Dillilah Picklesworth.  You can also enjoy concessions from premier sponsor Knott’s Fine Foods that will include the latest creation, Fried Pickle Dip – a combination of the classic flavor of fried dill pickles with the creamy goodness of ranch dressing.

“We’re thrilled to be a part of this tournament and share our delicious dips and spreads, especially our Fried Pickle Dip. We’ll have something for every palate,” according to Chloe Knott, sales and marketing lead at Knott’s Foods.
