‘Discovery Kids’ Rewarded With Discovery Park Trip

Union City, Tenn.–A select group of third and fourth graders from Union City Elementary School was rewarded last week with a trip to Discovery Park of America as part of the school’s Discovery Kids program.

Faculty and staff nominated a dozen students from the third and fourth grades to travel to DPA and enjoy a fun-filled day after their exemplary behavior over the third nine weeks of the 2023-24 school year.

 The honorees – many of whom wore Union City Schools spirit wear to show their Tornado Pride – had been lauded by school staff for displaying excellent behavior, character, and classroom work ethic.

Students explored the many exhibits at the park and were accompanied by school personnel Regena Lindsey, Katie Tohn, and Tammie Harris, who chaperoned the day’s activities.
