Ms. Rita Rowlett, 68, of Stewart, Tennessee, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at Tennova Hospital with her loving family by her side.
She was born Tuesday, January 10, 1956, in Houston, Tennessee, the beloved daughter of the late Kenneth Whitehead and Margaret Westerman. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her step-father: James Robert Westerman; brother: Ronald Whitehead; sister: Brenda Whitehead; and grandson: Sean Rowlett.
She worked a few years at Dover Products.
Rita had a kind spirit and loving heart for everyone.
She especially enjoyed sitting and caring for elderly in their home.
She enjoyed sewing, making crafts and working crossword puzzles.
She loved her family dearly.
She enjoyed having them come home for visits and to make memories.
After her retirement she and Ray enjoyed spending quality time together.
She leaves behind her loving family; life partner of 30 years: Ray Woods; sons: Tim Rowlett (Angela), Michael Rowlett (Deborah); step-son: Ricky Woods, all of Dover, Tennessee; daughter: Meredith Russell (Doug), of Dover, Tennessee; step-brother: Jim Westerman, of Stewart, Tennessee, and step-daughter: Tanya Tippit (Jamie), of Big Rock, Tennessee; sister: Freda Fallowell; half-sister: Lila Wallace, both of Dover, Tennessee; 19 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A visitation will be held at Anglin Funeral Home Chapel Saturday, March 9, 2024, beginning at11:00 a.m. and continue until the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. David Whitehead and Bro Charlie Mathis officiating.
Burial will follow at Moore Cemetery.
Those serving as pallbearers are Thomas Rowlett, James Whitehead, William Rowlett, Steven Jackson Brandon Woods and Ricky Woods.
