Mrs. Betty Reeves, 78, of Hickman, Kentucky, passed away at 4:50 p.m. Thursday, July 20, 2023, at Fulton Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Betty was born Tuesday, October 31, 1944, in Hickman, Kentucky, daughter of the late Bill and Ruth Lee (McCreery) Mitchum. She was also preceded in death by one sister: Marion Moffitt.
She married Bobby Reeves Friday, August 3, 1962. He passed away Monday, March 12, 2018.
She worked for Roper Pecan Company and was a homemaker.
Mrs. Betty was a member of East Hickman Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son: Bobby Dale and Regina Reeves, of South Fulton; one daughter: Robin and James H. Glover, of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; one grandson: James R. Glover, of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; three great-grandchildren: Ezra Glover, Kaden Glover, and Elijah Glover; three brothers: John and Kay Mitchum, of Charleston, South Carolina, Lawrence and Virgina Mitchum, of Royal Oak, Michigan, and Morris Mitchum, of Hickman, Kentucky; three sisters: Angie Mitchum, of Paducah, Kentucky, Kitty Mitchum, of Hickman, Kentucky and Martha Loschiavo, of Memphis; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday at East Hickman Baptist Church. Brother Ben Stratton and Ralph Prince will officiate. Pallbearers will be James Glover, Chuck Moffitt, John Hodge, David Moffitt, Joey Moffitt and Chris Loschiavo.
Burial will follow in Hickman City Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at East Hickman Baptist Church from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Saturday.
