Gerald Ray Campbell

Mr. Gerald Ray Campbell, 71 of Dover, Tennessee, was called home to be with the Lord Friday, July 14, 2023, at his residence with his loving and devoted family by his side.

He was born Wednesday, June 18, 1952, raised in Bradford, Tennessee, the beloved son of the late Walter Madison and Edna Virginia Dowland Campbell. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Gene Campbell.

Gerald proudly served his country in the U.S. National Guard.

He was owner of Campbell Ford in Dover, TN and retired from Jenkins & Wynn Ford, Clarksville, TN. He was in the car business for 43 years and served on the National Ford Dealer Council. A past Stewart County Chamber of Commerce President.

He was a member of the Kawanas Club of Dover. He was a member of Iron Mountain Masonic Lodge, 42nd Degree, Scottish Rites. Gerald was an avid classic car and tractor collector and a Nascar fan.

He was proud to call himself a Girl Scout Dad.

Gerald was an avid steward of Stewart County and loved serving the community in any way called upon.

Gerald was always proud to witness to others that he loved the Lord and faithfully served as a member of First Baptist Church of Dover. He served the Lord in several capacities and was humbled to do God’s work.

Gerald was a loving and caring husband, daddy, granddaddy, brother, uncle and loyal friend to many.

He leaves behind the his family he loved so dearly, his dedicated and loving wife of 48 years: Sharon Boatwright Campbell; son: James Madison Campbell (Jennifer), of Dover, TN; April Campbell Forrest (J.B.), of Pagosa Springs, CO; brothers: Steve Campbell (Sue), of Waverly, TN, Jimmy Campbell (Barbara), of Jackson, TN; sister-in-law: Wanda Campbell, of Martin, TN; grandchildren: Nora Rae Forrest and Jonna Belle Forrest and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a multitude of great friends.

A visitation will be held Monday, July 17, 2023 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home.

A Masonic Service will be held at 7:00 pm on Monday, July 17, 2023.

Visitation will resume on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at First Baptist Church of Dover at 9:00 am and continue until the hour of the funeral service at 11:00 am with Bro. Steven Head and Bro. Mark Wilson officiating.

Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Those serving as pallbearers: Chip Lee, Mike Pulley, Bobby Pulley, Shawn Seay, Michael Liberatore, Sunny Liberatore, Adam Liberatore and Steve Stanfill. Honorary pallbearers: Bill Boyd, Sr, Bryan Watson and the Bob McGuffin Sunday School Class.
