MARTIN, Tenn. – The fun-filled 29th annual Skyhawk Club golf tournament is scheduled for Thursday, June 22 at Persimmon Hills Golf Course in Sharon, Tenn. This year’s event is once again sponsored by ATA CPA’s & Advisors and Security Bank & Trust Company.
The registration deadline is set for June 19 as the format calls for a four-person scramble. Prizes will be awarded to first, second, third, fourth and last place teams with additional longest drive and closest to the pin contests. There will also be a putting contest for a 2023-24 Champion’s Club membership and an opportunity to win two game tickets plus two AD suite passes for the Skyhawk football game at Georgia on Sept. 2.
On-site registration is set for 11:30 a.m. with lunch to be served at noon. A shotgun start is set for 1 p.m. Tournament participants will receive access to beverage stations on the course and have an opportunity to play alongside UT Martin coaches and staff.
The entry fee for the event is $75 per golfer with hole sponsorships available for $100. Packages are also available, starting with a birdie sponsorship that includes one single entry into the tournament and a hole sponsorship for $175. An eagle package is $400 and includes a foursome of golfers plus a hole sponsorship while a $750 Skyhawk sponsorship comes with two foursomes of golfers and a pair of hole sponsorships.
The Skyhawk Club is UT Martin’s official organization for generating private financial support for its athletic programs. Contributions through the Skyhawk Club help expand scholarship opportunities for student-athletes, maintain and improve facilities, provide academic support and many other resources necessary to help its teams compete in the Ohio Valley Conference, Eastern College Athletic Conference and Ozark Region.
