Rito Rodriguez, 90, of Springville, Tennessee, died Friday, April 14, 2023, at his residence.
Rito was born Sunday, May 22, 1932, in New Braunfels, Texas, to the late, Cruz Rodriguez and the late, Petra Rodriguez.
He was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran with the 187th Airborne. He loved woodworking, fishing and enjoyed being around the lake. Rito retired from maintenance with Vulcan Materials in McCook, Illinois.
He was married Friday, August 14, 1981, to Wanda Jean Bush Rodriguez, who survives, of Springville, Tennessee.
Along with his wife, he is also survived by three children: Alicia (Alex) Garcia, of New Braunfels, Texas, Rita Osuch, of New Braunfels, Texas, and Rito (Melody) Rodriguez, Jr., of Australia; two stepchildren: Alfredo Lopez, of San Antonio, Texas, and Rosie Powers, of Springville, Tennessee; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two sisters, and three brothers.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, Tennessee. The body is to be cremated with no services planned.
