Murray, Ky.–The Hutson School of Agriculture in Murray State has announced that two of its students have been selected to attend the USDA Agricultural Outlook Forum Future Leaders in Agriculture Program.
They are Blake Kennedy of Puryear, an Agriculture Education Specialist graduate student; and Ellie McGowan of Freedonia, Ky., a Junior Agribusiness student. They will be traveling to Arlington, Virginia and Washington, D.C. in February for the USDA’s largest annual meeting.
This is an outstanding accomplishment as Murray State University was the only non-land grant university out of several land-grant institutions to be in the selection. 21 undergraduate students and 9 graduate students were selected from across the nation.
