Paris, Tenn.–Bobbie McAdoo Greer’s new play, Breathing Space, co-written with Rebecca Reynolds, will premiere in Leland, Michigan on September 24th.

Bobbie is known professionally as Bobbie McAdoo Greer and writes plays under that name, but also goes by her married name of Bobbie Greer Fazzini. She said she likes to use both McAdoo Greer professionally because she likes see her mother’s maiden name (McAdoo) and her maiden name (Greer).

Both she and her co-writer Rebecca Reynolds have Murray State connections and a shared history in the New York/LA comedy scene.

Bobbie recently retired from Murray State’s Center for Academic Success and Reynolds was a former interim director of MSU’s Department of Theatre.

Said Greer, “Becky and I are thrilled that our producers are mounting a full-blown production and bringing in a professional cast from New York, Chicago, and lots of points in between. Y’all come if you can.”

The play will open Saturday to a sold-out audience and its second performance on Sunday afternoon also is sold out, she said. The play is being staged at The Old Art Building in Leland near Lake Michigan.

She has deep roots in Henry County as the sister of Paris Attorneys Lee and Steve Greer, the mother of Gioia Fazzini, who is director of Paris Special School Districts strings program; and Andrew Fazzini, who is in the film business in New Orleans.
