Larry Amos Wright

Larry Amos Wright, 73 of Big Rock, Tennessee, passed away Friday, July 29, 2022 at his residence.

He was born Thursday, January 20, 1949, the son of the late William Amos and Amanda Dorinda Myers Wright. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Betty Sue Jones, and brother, Billy Neil Wright.

Larry was a hard worker and provider for his family. He worked at Booster and Dover Products for many years. Later in life he became self-employed. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to neighbors and friends. He worked mowing yards, landscaping and keeping the creek banks clean around Big Rock. Larry also worked side by side with friend, John Elliott in the sign business and teamed up to do small construction jobs, known to many friends as the “Alf and Ralph Team”. He loved nature and being outdoors. Larry was a strong supporter of the 2nd Amendment and especially enjoyed deer hunting with his son, Billy and grandson, Tyler. Larry looked forward to the day they could take grandson, Sam to the deer stand with them. Larry leaves behind many family members and dear friends that will miss him dearly.

Those left to morn his death, his son: Billy Wright (Michelle), of Indian Mound, Tennessee; grandsons: Sam Wright, of Indian Mound, and Tyler Wright, of Murray, Kentucky; brother: Terry Wright, of Hohenwald, Tennessee; sister: Carolyn Turner, of Nashville, Tennessee; special friend: Judy Hutchinson, and many cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 6, at 1:00 p.m. at Anglin Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Shannon officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. Saturday.
