Burns Honored With Loyal Patriot Award On Retirement

Paris, Tenn.–Henry County Clerk and Master Mary Burns was honored with the Loyal Patriot Award, the highest award that can be bestowed on a Henry Countian today at her retirement reception. Burns is retiring after 33 years working for Henry County, 22 years of which has been as Clerk and Master, with the remainder with the Board of Elections and the Health Department. A huge crowd was on hand for her reception. She will be replaced by Paris Attorney Albert Wade, who will be sworn in on Monday. (Shannon McFarlin photo).
