Darnell “Smokey” Sims, 70, pf Paris, Tennessee, died Friday, July 22, 2022, at Murray Calloway County Hospital.
He was born Monday, June 30, 1952, in Weakley County, Tennessee, to W.E. Simpson and Ruthie L. Sims, both preceded him in death.
Mr. Sims married Peggy Williams Sims, of Paris, Tennessee, Wednesday, November 26, 1986.
He is survived by his wife, three daughters, six sons, three sisters, five brothers, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Sims will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 29, 2022, at McEvoy Funeral Home, with Wilbur Farmer officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers and burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, July 29, 2022, at the funeral home.
