
Paris, Tenn.–Retirements by four long-time Henry County educators represent service to education that spans over 126 years.
Retiring are Athletic Director and Alternative School Director Mike Poteete, New Teacher Mentor Amy Veazey, Assistant to the Director of Special Populations Judy Stephenson and Transportation Director Andy McBee.
Poteete’s role as Athletic Director has been assumed by Assistant High School Principl Steve Summers, while Grove Principal Tim Mason will next school year also oversee the Alternative School.
For Amy Veazey, this is her second retirement. She retired previously as long-time Lakewood Elementary Principal. Since then, she has worked for the county schools on a part-time basis, working with new teachers and assisting with the employee appreciation program.
Stephenson has been serving as Assistant to the Director of Special Populations while McBee has served as Transportation Director.
They were honored at a special recognition event recently.
