Paris, Tenn.–Leadership Henry County has teamed up with the Levi Miles Foundation and Paris-Henry County Arts Council on a “Dumpster Community Outreach Project” that will include handprints of local officials, children and others.

Leadership’s small group members Sarah Sargent, Sam Hutson, Ashley Horn, Dylan Clifft, Susan Webb, and Elizabeth Richardson chose it for their community project.

The city of Paris and City Manager Kim Foster coordinated getting the dumpster ready and moved to the Arts Council offices in the old train depot on Fentress Street.

Donors gave to purchasing materials such as the paint, brushes, and gloves for the project.

Donors were: Commercial Bank, L.I. Smith & Associates, Crove Media, Lele & Beane Photography, and Michael Sargent State Farm.

The design was done by David Miles and includes the handprints of many different individuals. There will be a quote added that says, “Each individual is as individual as their fingerprints, and I think that’s extraordinary.” (Quote by Annie Lennox).

The Levi Miles Foundation of Paris was founded for the purpose of providing support and resources to children with disabilities and rare diseases, as well as, to promote acceptance and inclusion of all individuals within our communities.

The dumpster will be placed at Rhea Elementary School with an official ribbon cutting with the Paris Henry County Chamber of Commerce at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 31.
