Chief Deputy Cash also served as a Kentucky State Police Trooper from 2011 to 2018 when he retired at the rank of Sergeant.

This deputy has paid the ultimate sacrifice today while serving our commonwealth. Let us honor the life, bravery and service of this deputy.”

Condolences for Chief Deputy Cash and his family have been posted by law enforcement from all over Southwest Kentucky and Northwest Tennessee, including from Henry County Sheriff Josh Frey who said: “Our thoughts and prayers are with the Cash family and Kentucky law enforcement. Chief Deputy Jody Cash was a great officer. He will be greatly missed by his fellow officers and the community in which he served. Please lift the family up in prayer and all that were involved.”
