Puryear, Tenn.–He made it. Henry County Mayor John Penn Ridgeway had to run to catch up with the other county officials on their truck in the Puryear Day parade Saturday morning. Ridgeway was announcing the start of the parade in front of the Methodist Church when the parade started and he had to catch up with the rest of the county officials as their parade entry drove by. The revitalized Puryear Day on Saturday was a huge success with the parade, dunk tank, petting zoo, arts and crafts, fire department tours, live music and more all day. (Shannon McFarlin photo).
