Jo Ann McAdoo Vincent,  71, of Puryear, Tennessee, died Sunday, May 1, 2022, at her residence.

Jo Ann was a retired principal and schoolteacher from the Henry County School System. She taught kindergarten at Cottage Grove then served as principal. She finished her career teaching at Harrelson. Jo Ann was a member of Puryear Christian Life where she served as an instrumentalist for many years.

Jo Ann was born Tuesday, January 30, 1951, in Paris, to the late Arthur Clifton McAdoo and the late Sue Labrie Hopkins McAdoo. Along with her husband and parents, Jo Ann was preceded in death by one brother William Carroll McAdoo.

She was the wife of Richard Earl Vincent, Sr. who preceded her in death Sunday, January 24, 2016.

She is survived by one brother Paul (Anna) McAdoo, of Medina, Tennessee; two nieces: Lisa (Steve) Batten, of Lebanon, Tennessee, and Connie (Eddie) Hill, of Franklin, Tennessee; three great nieces and nephews; and seven great-great nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, Tennessee, 38242.  Visitation will be Wednesday, May 4, 2022, from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home, and continue Thursday, May 5, 2022, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.  The funeral service will be Thursday, May 5, 2022, at 1 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Mike Wimberley officiating.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Burial will be in Conyersville Cemetery in Puryear, Tennessee.

Memorials may be made to the Conyersville Cemetery Fund.
