Bobby J. Hall

U.S. Air Force Senior Master Sergeant (SMSGT) (Retired) Bobby J. Hall, 86, of Buchanan, Tennessee, passed away in his residence Sunday, May 1, 2022.

He was born Sunday, June 23, 1935, in Beattyville, Kentucky, to Ballard Hall and Lillie Spencer Hall, who both preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by two sisters Helen Carroll and Naomi Creech and three brothers Joe Hall, James Hall and Ballard Hall, Jr.

Mr. Hall was a 24-year Veteran of the U.S. Air Force where he retired as a Senior Master Sergeant. He also worked 15 years with Tennessee Asphalt Company. Bobby was a member of both the AMVETS and VFW and he loved fishing, hunting, and gardening.

Mr. Hall is survived by his wife Kathaleen Niece Hall, of Buchanan, Tennessee; his daughter Angela (Dennis) Whitman, of Buchanan, Tennessee; his sons Tony (Connie) Hall, Aliquippa, Pennsylvania,  and Joseph Hall, of Buchanan, Tennessee; a sister Thelma Vickers, of Port Richie, Florida, a brother Luster Hall of St. Helena Island, South Carolina, two grandchildren Sarah (Jake) Luttrel, of Missouri, and Adam (Cassie) Wellhausen, of Valatie, New York, 4 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2022,  at New Beaver Dam Cemetery. Bennie Akers, of Buchanan Community Church, will officiate with Don Townley and Dennis Whitman serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at McEvoy Funeral Home prior to the service.
