Paris, Tenn.–Tornado survivors in middle and west Tennessee who wish to receive FEMA assistance need to apply with FEMA directly.
FEMA Public Information Officer Darrell Habish said it’s a simple message, but often misunderstood.
“If you fill out paperwork with a nonprofit organization or a local government office, that doesn’t create a FEMA application. Apply with FEMA.”
