Springville, Tenn.–Work continues on a major upgrade of the Antioch Boat Ramp parking lot and entrance road in the Tennessee National Wildlife Refuge in Springville. Dirt removal has been completed to expand the parking to include 20 more spaces. The gravel work will begin on Monday, October 18th, causing the boat ramp to be closed during the entire week next week. Refuge officials said, “Our hopes are to open the ramp back up for the weekend, but it will be depending on several factors including weather. We regret the inconvenience to our visitors while we strive to upgrade this often overcrowded parking lot.” Refuge photo.
