Paris, Tenn.–Plus Endowment grants have been awarded to Henry County and Paris Special Schools District teachers in the amount of $60,500 this year.
The grants are awarded to local teachers each year to enhance the classroom curriculum and began under the leadership of former County Superintendent William Atchison.
The grants usually are awarded in person at an annual banquet, but the event was cancelled this year due to COVID.
A special award inamed for William Atchison is given out each year and this year, two awards are given in memory of teachers who recently passed away: Roddy Adkisson and Kim McDaniel.
