Palmersville, Tenn.–Two men are in custody charged in connection with burglaries at churches, residences and a shop in Weakley County.

Arrested are Anthony Dykes, age 35, of Clarksville; and Stacio Gale Espinosa Reynolds, age 22, of Indiana.

On Monday, September 27, Investigators with the Weakley Co. Sheriff’s Office were  investigating the burglaries of three churches, two residences, and a shop, in the Palmersville area.

While investigating a report being filed by a member of the Old Bethel Baptist Church, which is located north of
Palmersville,  Investigator Niel Cantrell had developed Dykes as suspect in the
burglaries. Cantrell had been to Clarksville to locate Dykes but could not find him there.

While at Old Bethel Baptist Church, Cantrell received info that Dykes was at a home on Glover Store Rd. in Palmersville. Cantrell and Investigator Wotrham went to the address and found Dykes walking out of the residence and took him into custody.

While on the property, Cantrell could see some of the property that had been reported stolen
from different burglaries in the Palmersville area. A search warrant was
applied for and granted. During the execution of the search warrant,
property from all of the reported burglaries was located inside and
outside the residence. One of the victims had pictures of firearms and
serial numbers recorded of firearms that had been taken, that made for
easy identification.

Also taken into custody was Stacia Gale Espinosa
Reynolds, 22 years of age, from Indiana.

Capt. Marty Plunk wants to remind and ask that everyone to record their
serial numbers, not only on firearms, but any electronics or any other
valuables that you may have. I hope and pray that it doesn’t happen to
you but, it does happen.

Plunk said, “I just ask that you be prepared if it does.
This is a prime time to remind people as well that, all ATV’s and UTV’s
and Golf carts, require a separate policy with most insurance carriers.
Homeowners does not cover those losses. Record serial numbers on the and
lawn equipment. Sadly, these are items most taken. Please just be
prepared.”
