Union City Murder Suspect In Custody

Union City, Tenn.–A suspect in last weekend’s murder in Union City is now in custody.
19-year-old Julius Thompson of Union City turned himself in to the Union City Police Department on Wednesday and was processed on a warrant for 2nd degree murder, according to Lt. Derrick O’Dell.
The charge stems from the shooting death of 23-year-old Tarius Lewis in Union City on Saturday night. At 8:46 p.m. Saturday, Union City Police responded to 1205 Russell St. on a report of a person in the parking lot who had been shot.
